Scouted fossil today, already 8 camps. 3 - 2 point bucks, 1-3 point and several does. 2 bears, 16 cows, 1-5x5 bull.

outside of today I see 8 to 12 deer a day. This year seems better then in along time, still not like the days when you would see couple dozen easy.

That's cool!..I seem to see lots of elk but never that many deer.  I've gotten the permit 5 times and seen 20 deer in the 5 years...funny how that stuff works.

I bought this permit about 10 years ago for modern elk.
Tagged out with a small 5x5 on the first day.
My hunting partner took 4 days for one slightly larger.
While he hunted, I loaded firewood, my K3500 long bed and equipment trailer were loaded to the max. That load lasted my ~5 years
It was worth the money for sure.
Your biggest competition is the loggers working there.
They have them patterned and stands set for opening morning of all the seasons.
One shot. One kill!
