I forget the road numbers but I have gone in from both the Butter Creek Road and the NFS road. Rugged country, have lots of success up high both general and late season. Generally in the late you’ll want to come up from the Cannon Rd TH, but if snowfall is light, go up Butter Creek. In the late, get to the snow line and skulk around, they’ll be moving, any small benches are good spots for bucks to hang up. I’ve seen a number of bears killed on the Butter Creek side near berries and avy chutes, though never hunted them myself. In the early deer, try to get high before daylight, then start glassing. Be prepared to part an animal out and pack it.
