Had a few bulls bugle back Saturday and Sunday on the West side.  They Responded 2 or 3 times then got silent and never came in. The last 3 days of early season should be good.

Elk are in the final stages of herding up. It’s a great time of year to be in the elk woods. It’s all good, all phases of the rut have their perks  ;).

HC, they’re talking for sure. I have  “normally” hunted the spud state for the last 7-8? years anywhere from early SEP to the end of the month and I can assure you, if you’re in an area that holds Wapiti, they’re talking. Locate after dark, get after them before sunrise, they’ll be in the same place in the morning for a bit before they move to bed.

We will be south of them but good to hear!

Thanks for the tip, we will definitely be putting that to work. BTW, your old trailer will be making another trip to Idaho
