In July 2007, my daughter Maddie (3.5 yrs old) packed the boat and headed for Sekiu on our first "Father/Daughter" salmon fishing trip.  It's pretty rare to get a photo from this point of view while fishing from a boat.  But, I got lucky, and was able to get a unique photo of her reeling up her first salmon!  (Sure, it was just a little humpy on the other end of the line...but to her it was a HOG!)

This photo probably won't the contest.  But, in my eyes it captures the theme of this months photo contest...."Success In The Field".  Since becoming a father, my view of what makes one successfull has changed.  These days it's all about getting to experience moments like this that make me feel like the most successful person alive!

Looks like something wacky happened to this topic a few moments ago. Not sure but it looks resolved now.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.
