There will b 3 of us in s.e. montana 8-16th. Then I get a week to myself. I drop the 2 of them at the billings airport then I'm on my own, the 16- 22.  That is if i can hold off pulling the trigger the 1st week.

I think we'll probably do the drive and glass thing until we can't sit in the truck anymore. Depends on roads though.  Then get out and walk. Wanting to see a lot of bucks, hope to have opportunities to chase several bucks and finally connect with one.

This is only our second trip.

From what I've gathered, hunters who see a lot of bucks generally do so from their truck and cover a lot of ground in the process. Getting out and walking seems to limit yourself to just one area.

You would be correct.  That's what we do , when we find one we want then me make a stalk.

We’re heading out Nov 8. We usually see quite a few from the truck, but see waaaayyyyy more once we get out and start covering the country

Ill be leaving this Thursday and I'll stay until I get one, get tired of looking or Thanksgiving arrives which ever comes first! Good thing is I have meat in the freezer so I can shop awhile, maybe I'll finally get a good one  :chuckle:
