Trail cam pic of a huge blacktail I dumped stone dead and lost in a cliff. Skagitsteel and I tried to get into him a couple days later but we got snowed out for the year. A real heartbreaker I think about often. He was a sight to see when I shot him.

Ever try looking for the dead head the year after?

I sure did. I'm pretty sure it was his antlers that got him hung up. Probably still there.

2018, couldn't get a cam up in '19.  I'll find him this year.
He was in his prime in 2018 Hagemaniac, starting to go down hill a little. I’ve been after him for 3 years now. Smart old boy, they don’t get that big being dumb. Here’s what he looked like last year.

Ill be real interested to see what he looks like this year.  Hope one of you guys put a hole in him.  Pretty cool to see multiple years of an old buck.  Not often that you get to do that.  If youre feeling kind of attached to him now, and you dont want to kill him, id be happy to take one for the team.

First blacktail I ever got of this size on camera or anything. Seen him multiple years and in person too. Vanishes around the second week in August every year.

I would like to run on across any of these.

When I pass, do not let my wife sell the guns for what I told her they cost.
