“Your kids first deer” opportunity
« on: November 09, 2019, 12:38:51 PM »
Does anyone have a kid trying to harvest their first deer this season? I would like to offer access to a decent chunk of private land, in unit 407, on the west side of i5, to give a kid the chance to harvest their first deer. Hopefully an experience that will get them hooked on hunting. Great wooded area holding lots of blacktail. Don’t care if it’s during modern(shotgun), muzzle or archery season. Don’t want access money or anything. If I don’t get responses for kids trying for their first deer, Ill consider others. There will be guidelines such as only hunt here with my permission/notify me when you will be there, no taking does with fawns, and I’ll make more clear when we speak. I have been burned before allowing people here, but this forum seems to hold more honest/respectable people so I’ll give it another shot. PM me with some info about yourself/kid/weapon and we’ll go from there. I dunno if I’ll get zero response or a ton so be patient and please be understanding if someone beats you to the opportunity or has a more applicable situation. Thanks. Ps great point made by Jrebel, gotta give the people a harvest photo!

Great to see this!  Hope more landowners keep recruiting kids as well as first time hunters.
