« on: October 28, 2007, 11:53:12 PM »
Well the wife scored on a little piebald buck this morning. Looks like I'll have a neat lifesize mount for another display. I,ll post some pis when I get a chance. Its a little 2x2. Heavy horns for there size. Hope I spelled piebald right.

OOPS! Yup I meant pics :chuckle:

Here are the pics. She passed on way bigger bucks this year but this was a cool little deer. We have seen this buck since he was a fawn and 4 others. I'll be doing a lifesize on him just so everyone can see the white spots all over, even on the hair around his hoof. I just couldn't see just  tanning the hide. The horns are kinda weird too. Real heavy and big bases for a 1 1/2 year old deer. The burs alone are almost 6 inches around.

Congrats to her! Saw a full albino fawn in Vail about ten years ago, seems to be some of those gene's around that area.

I let a piebald spike go in vail about 12 years ago. 2 years later a dude shot a nice 2 point piebald out of the same cut...could have been the one I let go.

Someone spilled some bleach on the back side of that deer.
