Nikon exiting the rifle scope business
« on: November 25, 2019, 07:58:11 PM »
https://nikonrumors.com/2019/11/25/another-website-confirms-that-nikon-is-exiting-the-rifle-scope-business.aspx/

"Nikon will be exiting the rifle scope business and that once current inventory is gone, it’s gone. TTAG spoke to Nikon’s advertising agency who confirmed the news. We’re told that this is a business decision Nikon has made based on their position in the highly competitive optics market. Nikon isn’t getting out of the outdoor optics business, though. The good news is they will continue to produce their excellent spotting scopes, rangefinders and binoculars."

I love my Nikon scopes. Have 5 of them currently.  Excellent warranty and customer service.  Too bad they are great scopes at a good price.

Yes, best scopes I’ve owned, and I’ve owned/own most quality brands.

Excellent warranty yes. Had to use it on and old model scope, ended up with a new scope. Think all I paid was the shipping to get the old one to them.

That's too bad.  Nikon made decent scopes. It's never good to see a competitively priced supplier get out of the business.

I have to say they were a great value scope. I own several. Leopold will likely see any further purchases.

I have Nikon scopes on two rifles and have been pleased with them. Very good optics for the money.
