First grouse of the year and for Rey.
« on: November 28, 2019, 10:26:10 PM »
Decided to take the dogs for a walk in the woods with my lovely wife and the doggies. I figured I'd better bring a gun along so grabbed some 6's for grouse and some Buck for other critters if need be. Vehicles at both gates where we have gone before so tried a little blocked off road with no gate or even decent parking but a big tank trap.

Amazingly, after walking only about 80 yards, we had two grouse flush after the dogs had gone by and one stupidly stopped short and landed at about 20 yards away.

excellent bird! Good dogs too! I think the grouse have had an explosive year this season, I have found them everywhere and shot about 10 of them. What are the doggies names?

Mom is Amber, daughter is Rey. We will be breeding Rey some time in the new year.

First pic is a classic!!!

Thanks, helps to have a non-gunning photographer along.  ;)

Beautiful dogs. I think a walk in the woods is good for the soul.  :)
