Republic Buck
« on: December 10, 2019, 07:40:10 AM »
Bet anyone who’s drove out of Republic by the hospital has seen this dude or his brothers! Got a Nikon 5600 and I wanted to play with it.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short.

Amen

Yes, several times. I always go the back way into republic from curlew on purpose for the deer show. There was a pretty nice 4 by 4 that I seen last year laying inside a picket fence in the same area. I’m almost certain it wasn’t this guy. Probably 4-5 years ago there was a really nice buck ripping the heck out of someone’s lawn and landscaping during the rut, it was kinda funny  :chuckle: .
$5 is a lot of money if you ain't got it

There’s a bigger one that looks like he got hit, big patch of hide missing on his back. Haven’t seen him in a couple days though. He’s an older buck and was a big 4 last year.

We had to stop a guy about 25 years ago that started after a buck from the gas station on the corner and was headed towards the fire station.  The buck walked right through the gas pumps and this dud just blindly grabbed his gun and went after it until we almost tackled him. Damn city boys. :chuckle:
