How does an octopus catch a Bald Eagle?

Saw it on the news.  First time I've heard of that!  Some strange things happen in salt water though...

Either grabbed the octopus and got more then bargained for or grabbed a fish at same time and octopus got both.

Either way the odds are slim but cool the guys got it on film

Yep, that's what I was thinking as well.

I used to fish commercially from Kodiak west to the date line.  One time while seining over on the mainland in about 80 fathoms, we saw what we initially thought was a sea lion chasing a sockeye across the surface.  We were all up on the flybridge "hunting" for jumpers, and saw it coming.  It went right by the bow.  NOT a sea lion...it was about a 100-120lb. halibut.  We couldn't believe it, but we all saw it, and watched it for about a minute and a half.  Our skipper was a third generation Kodiak seiner, and had never even heard of something like that.  Wish we could've got it on camera.
