Knight Bighorn
« on: December 25, 2019, 03:56:33 PM »
My knight bighorn came with 3 breech plugs. I’ve been using the #11 plug but I want to switch to the 209 primer. One of the breech plugs is magnetic . Is that the 209 primer plug?

Any help will be very appreciated
Thank you

I think Knight discontinued the bare primer because of debris hitting shooters.  They only sell the plastic jacket insert type now.

Search for bighorn posts by sabotloader. (see one below)

When I got my bighorn, it came with 3 other breachplugs.

My Bighorn came with 2 breach plugs.  The one that allows the 209 primer requires the red plastic jacket to use.  I has a rounded looking nipple that is not removable.  Personally I would stick with the #11 caps.  That is what I still use.  I don't believe there is all that much of an advantage trying to use 209 primers with a bighorn.

Good Luck

I agree! Especially if you use RWS caps.
