Prairie Dog Hunts In Montana
« on: January 02, 2020, 12:48:31 PM »
This is one of the most awesome hunts you can go on, we have prairie dogs running every direction this year on the ranches! You will have a blast and leave a better shooter than when you arrived!

Montana Prairie Dog Shooting
Bearpaw Outfitters have expanded our prairie dog shooting with more ranch access and will be offering more hunts this year than the last few years. We have prairie dog towns waiting for you to come and enjoy some extraordinary shooting opportunities. Bring 500-1000 rounds per day, bring multiple weapons, two days of shooting will greatly enhance your shooting skills. We will pick you up and return you each day to your motel room in Miles City. Minimum of 2 hunters needed for a shoot, hunts available all year, no license needed.

2-Day Prairie Dog Hunts
$1050 per person

3-Day Prairie Dog Hunts
$1550 per person

My guide says warm winter weather has dogs running all over right now, he says there are decent shooting opportunities available right now.

(prairie dogs do not hibernate)

Never gone to MT but I go to NV every year and it would be hard to argue that there is anything more fun you could do with a gun. I take 2,000 rounds of .223 for a weekend and usually end up falling back to a rimfire because I ran out of ammo :chuckle: if anyone has thought about doing this I'd highly encourage a guy to hit Dale up! If I didn't already have an "in", I'd be planning a trip with Bearpaw.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

This would be a blast. I need to wait and see if I have drawn any special permits.

Sounds like a good way to kill time while they process my bison

That could work if the weather isn't too cold or stormy.

Tons of prairie dogs in that area this year! Last month I was turkey hunting near Ashland about an hour south of Miles City & we saw over 2,000 prairie dogs during the week.
