Go to eastern wa and drive up dirt roads on April 14th, find a spot to pull off, turn off your vehicle and honk your horn, if no gobble then drive another 1/2 mile and do it again. When you hear a gobble then you have found your spot! Good luck!

He is absolutley right.  NE part of the state hold the biggest population of turkeys.  Private property I would go talk to farmers out there they hate turkeys.  There is plenty of public land out there DNR, Forest Service that hold turkeys but it will get crowded opening weekend and the next.

Your best bet for private land is to hunt in the fall when the turkey are at peak nuisance status. Easy to meet people and get land to hunt. Not all private land will translate to spring hunting, but it's the most effective method for private access I've found. As far as public land, the Little Pend and Colville National Forest have been good public land for me. Sticking to the public forest areas around Colville and Chewelah is a good place to start. Just like Wazntme said, your best bet is to be where turkey are and roosting them at night when they gobble like crazy. Don't be afraid to knock on doors, just be ready for yes and no responses. Lots of people will be going out this Spring. If it's your thing throw in a post in the hunting partner section with your trip info and see if an experienced hunter will let you join them. You can also buy a map from bearpaw outfitter or book a guided/unguided hunt. I bought my map from him years ago and still kill turkey with it. Most of the info you will get from the forum users is garnered from years of worn shoeleather and hard hunting. Experience is the best teacher so start now and get some scouting in before the season. If you don't have the OnX Maps for your phone or GPS, you should get it. Figure out what area you want to hunt. The software will tell you the names of landowners who you can contact well in advance of your hunt. Showing up in person dressed nicely will sometimes get you a landowner who's sick and tired of the turkeys tearing up the ground and roosting on his buildings. Good luck!

You'll find it a lot easier to get permission after the first week of the season. A lot of the landowners have already committed their land to family or friends for the first weekend, but are open to other hunters afterwords. The population of birds is plenty healthy enough that I guarantee they won't all get shot off in the first few days. Additionally, hunter numbers are way down with less chance of other hunters after any birds you might scout out and chances of nice weather are greater.

Nothing worse than hunting turkey (in this case) in rotten weather.  From my stand point, Id watch the local weather reports and choose to come over as the weather improves.  Opening week can often be wet and cold.

Get a map of Eastern Washington and throw a dart at it. I'm sure you'll find turkeys there haha.

Look at the harvest rates for Washington, find an area you want to explore, find some public land and start scouting it in a month or so.

Hey Rabid, I'm looking to bag my first Turkey ever this year. I've never hunted here but I've been doing a lot of scouting and research online. GMU 121 is the 2nd highest yield rate in the state. This is the area just north of Spokane, there is a good amount of public land directly above the Spokane Indian Reservation (combo BLM/DNR). This is where I plan on hunting this year. GMU 108 is a small area located north of 121 this area has the highest bag rate in the state so it would be worth looking into as well.

Wait until May 1st. Drive to Spokane and then head north. Start driving roads off the highway and look for birds. Knock on doors and ask permission or look for public land. Aig fields, timber and water within proximity usually holds birds.
