I’m really not good at taking pictures of antlers ha but here is another shot. My elbows are at my side so I’m not holding them way out

Found my first elk shed for 2020. It’s not a fresh one though. Tips have been chewed a little. My guess is last years or maybe even the year before. Don’t care either way, super stoked to break the drought!

Id guess it cant be older than last year based off color.  Ive found sheds that were only on the ground for a few weeks but had been well chewed.

Yeah good point. It does have some really good color on the under side, so you’re probably right, last years shed.. the base didn’t look fresh at all. And it’s definitely a little bleached on the exposed side.

Woupd have been, yeah.  Real heavy base, big piece of bone.  Left it on the mountain though, wasnt worth packing out
