Winter kill bear found!
« on: April 07, 2009, 09:49:50 AM »
So, well turkey hunting this weekend we stumbled upon this bear skeleton, we believe it might have been poached because there were full cattle skeletons and bait barrels in the area around the bear, it looked like the perfect spot to do a bait from if you were to do it!

Sorry, I do not know how to upload the pics, i texted them from my phone to my email, but I don't know how to get them from my email to here, so I will post the url:

I know what you mean, it is a little fishy... I don't jnow what I am going to do about it yet, I knew I should have taken coordinates of it, but I know the general area.  But really, what will the WDFW do about it?!

Fish and game will probably do a report and put it on file.  Sometimes things like this can come in handy for them.  Kinda like little pieces to a puzzle.  They may have already know who poached the Bear but not know where the Bear is.

Is it just me but is there multiple spines there?  his seems intact but there are more..... :dunno:  I'd certainly report locale and send pics.  Can do it via e-mail.  If they are interested they will certainly contact you.

if there was bait barrels around, you need to call wdfw.

if they were not bait barrels are you sure someone didn't just dump a skeleton out there after they processed the meat? maybe they did the same with the cattle? i know if you go to the house where we hunt deer out on the back 40 you will find a pile of deer bones and cattle bones all mixed together. it's where we dump our bones for the yotes to feast on and where many cow bones have been dumped for the last umpteen years.
