Is it worth it to apply if you haven't been accumulating points?

I'm just starting to figure out the points system. It seems like it'd be good to apply to get a point even if I'm not drawn. Especially to an area with a higher chance of being drawn.

Awesome. I'll apply tonight. Just wanted to make sure that I had a shot. Somehow, I've always struggled to find good information on the points system. I'm slowly getting things figured out.

They always like to have a handful of low points to bring down the average points to draw ,to make the hunt more appealing to draw in more people .That's what makes it more of a lottery draw. They should make it so you can't draw without 2 points,if you drew last year you have to ghost point.Helps slow down point creep also gives a better average of points needed to draw .Whatever they say the average is I would add a point to that, Because they have picked people with low points to bring down average.

The only way to eliminate points issues is to eliminate points.  It’s past time to shut the system down.

Usually takes 3 or 4 tries.  Doesnt matter how many points.   If lucky draw every 3rd year. Unlucky might go 7 or 8 years.

Did you ghost point some years or did it actually take you that long to draw?

The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

Applied and did not draw years 1-7, ghost pointed year 8, then drew with 9
