Spinning rod and reel
« on: March 08, 2020, 09:56:38 AM »
I have been a Finwick/Diawa man forever and really no nothing else. What’s a good combination for surf and jetty work? I have been gifted theses and think the rod might be okay. I have concerns about the reel. Anyone care to share thoughts or experiences? I don’t feel like theses two balance well. It’s seems front heavy.

My favorite reel, I normally use the 3000. Not sure about the rod though. I like northfork composites blanks

Rod looks short for jetty fishing.  :twocents:

Great reel, made from carbon fiber so it's light, hence the front heavy feel.
