Has anyone asked for a refund or prorated license fee?

My buddy was saying the state was open to refunding us.

Thought about it but the refund for 5 days of lost opportunity on my current license would be pennies...

I'm hesitant to buy my 2020 license yet. My hope is that maybe they discount this year's fee's based on opportunity, or lack of. Depending on how far into April/ May we can't fish or hunt. But I'm not holding my breath.

I haven't sent them any money yet.  Maybe you could get 50% of your license fee refunded by simply submitting a request and a $49 processing fee. :chuckle:

Wait until they realize no one is buying the new licenses. Sooner or later that will be the only incentive to open things back up.

They just need to sell more than the other states percentage wise.  Then they get the big slice of the Dingall-Johnson payments from the record firearms sales.

They can't use that to pay salaries though.  With the drop in retail sales, the state's revenue is getting crushed, so WDFW should expect even more cuts from Olympia along with some drop in license sales tbd.  With fishing closed, they probably even have a drop in ticket revenue.

I bought fishing/hunting licenses, all permit apps, and raffle tags in January.     Keep this up, could be my year to draw.   :dunno:
Economy failure = Too many people spending money they don't have on things they don't need to impress people they don't like.
