Deer area 2012-2017 second deer permits

Thinking about putting in for one of these tags, but looking to find out how anybody elses experiences have been hunting these deer areas.  I know it's pretty much all private, but curious how your experiences have been when asking for permission.  Have landowners generally been receptive?

When I first started hunting those areas several years ago for a 2nd deer I got ahold of the WDFW in Spokane and asked if they had a list of property owners that would let you hunt. They e-mailed me a list and I got on the phone with the farmers about August. When I showed up to hunt I introduced myself. From there I asked the farmers if they knew of any body else that would let you hunt. Long story short I became friends with a couple of them and it took off from there.

43 bucks? Oh the horror, for the cost of a decent meal at a restaurant you can go kill another deer.

I remember that.... it was previously like $21 and they jacked it up to $68 and claimed hunters asked for it. Then later it dropped to $40 ish.
