School me on truck shocks

I am in the market for new shocks for my truck. Not to crazy expensive any ideas?
The ones I have in the truck are
Pro Comp ES 9000 white truck has a 4” lift 35” tires
2015 Chevy 3500 HD

Hope this is enough info. They just seem to soft when I go over the pass or rough road they bounce to much

Bilstein 5100’s are a good starting point for most trucks.   I put a $2k fox kit on and highway ride was better more control and offroad high speed whoops were better but for general forest service roads the bilsteins provided a more comfortable ride offhighway.   The fox didnt soak up the little stuff as well.

I put bilstein 5100s on my 2011 GMC Sierra and I think it was definitely worth it and pretty noticeable compared to the factory shocks after 95k miles

Crazy you have the exact opposite feel of the Fox compared to Bilstiens in the little stuff . I was a Die Hard Bilstien  guy ( still have them on my F 350 ) . Had them on my Jeep and loved them . Put a set of Custom tuned Fox 2.0s on it and OMG what a difference.  Any railroad track or small bump with the Bilsiens was a sharp annoying thing,  the Fox just soaked them up way better .
But anyway Bilstien 5100s , unless you want to pony up for Fox

I think the difference is mine was on a very soft sprung 1500 ecodiesel (900 lb payload).  It rode very nice if you didn’t push it then it wallowed or bottomed out.   My jeep is not plush on similar roads and no doubt would be better everywhere with fox.

I've noticed the same with the bilstiens on my Taco. They're great but things like rail road tracks are awfully jolting

I actually prefered the ride and control from Ranchos over Bilstiens but my truck wasnt lifted.

I recently put a set of Rancho RS9000XL shocks on my leveled 2012 F350.  They were a mid priced shock and seem to be doing good.

Bilsteins on my Tundra worked great

Same here. I have 6112s with piggy back reservoirs and they are great. The 5100s i put on my old dodge made a world of difference as well.

I too have the Bilstein 5100 Adjustable on my Tundra.  Got these to level the front and they ride really nice.

I had a set of Bilstines on my Dodge 4x4. Wore out faster then the cheaper Monroes. Never again. Not worth the extra money.
