I believe we have till the 18th to submit our permits and still no paper regs out. I live in a rule area with no cable and the old hard wire wont load regs. guess I will have to use last years and hope for the best. our game dept just keeps making it harder and harder.

Wdfw employees aren't allowed to go into work. They are all working remotely from home. Blame our governor who is issuing the stay at home order but don't blame fish and game. They deserve a lot of finger wagging but this isn't one of those times  :twocents:

Take FGR up on his offer to print and mail or I'm sure any of us could post screen shots of the pages that you need. Theres more than one way to skin a cat right  :chuckle:

Don’t go off last years regulations for hunt numbers, you might end up putting 20 points on a toutle elk hunt!!!  Lol.  Call a buddy or one of us to give you current hunt numbers.

I could have applied using last year's pamphlet with the exception of the new juvenile ram category. No need to worry about selecting the wrong hunt due to the hunt codes being different. When you select your choices there is the number and the name so you can't get it wrong, as long as you know the name of the hunt you're applying for. I've heard pamphlets will be available this week though, so you could just wait a couple more days.

I was told earlier this week that no paper regs will be out until at least June when I bought all of my licenses/tags. Take it for what it is worth but I wouldn't hold out for the paper regs to do apps.  :twocents:

not knowing much about the computers I don't know how big of an ask this is but is there anyway you could do a thing like that on this site Page by Page? might make it easier for folks to reference in some of the threads and then guys like me who don't have the knowledge figure out how to get the thing actually to load on their phone could look at it too

That would be great. I know I can get it somehow on my phone (my brother has done it for me multiple times) but even following the link bobcat put up I've got something set up on my phone it doesn't let me and I can't fix it for the life of me. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only computer/phone incompetent on here.

Thanks for posting the regs, but this is great for all the people who are computer savvy and ( so concerned about correct spelling.) But I'm old school and like to spread out 4 copy's of regs to look at all dates and different hunts, making sure deer and elk pics don't make it impossible to get to both if get drawn for both. This is very hard to do on a computer or small phone when you cant look at 2 or 3 pages at the same time. I will probably wait till last min to submit hoping that they come out to double ck my pics.

One word. Spreadsheet. Open Excell, add all species, hunt numbers, tag type, and dates. You can than filter by date to make sure there are no overlaps. It helps a lot, especially if you're submitting apps in other states and have specific hunts you don't want to mess with.

6 copies?

I think I've found WDFW's budget shortfall.  Forget creating new special hunt categories, they can solve their budget challenges by charging for printed hunting regulations.    :chuckle:

It's OK, I'll show myself out…..

Personally I love Oregon's online regs, and paperless tags.  When applying for hunts, I just open multiple browser windows for each species regulation.  Granted Oregon's online regs are far more advanced than Washington's in terms of ease of use.

I bet there are 2019 hunting regs setting on store counters right now.  Asked SIL to pick up hunting regs.  He brought the current fishing regs.   :dunno: :chuckle:

There’s a whole lotta red in the new regs if you’re interested in special permits.

usually 2 one for home one for truck that will go hunting.  Then later in year 1-2 more as I will lose the first two or give one away and forget.

I haven't grabbed a set of paper regs for at least 5 years. I download them to my computer and my phone, and I always have them. My plans are made by now in general, so I don't feel the need to review constantly throughout the year.

Got to keep a copy of the hard regs at elk camp so when your on a string of bad luck you can look through the permits to see which area you probably should of burned your points drawing, all while not burning up the battery in your phone.  :chuckle:

I have them downloaded on my phone. I always grab 1 paper copy to mark up for permit apps and then that goes into my truck where they remain until seasons end. I'm kind of surprised people grab so many.  :dunno:

Yes take as many as you want, that's what I pay for. and the oly warehouse throws away many pallets full of these paper regs every year. you can go to warehouse and get a case of them if you would like, good fire starters.
