Multi Season Group Application
« on: May 06, 2020, 02:10:57 PM »
So me and my hunting buddy always put in for elk as a group in the quality elk draws, but I happened to draw a multi season tag this year.  My question is can we still put in together?  I’ll be putting in for multiple seasons, will he get to piggy back on that or will he have to choose one of those seasons?  If so do we still get to put in as a group for that one season?  Thanks for the help.

If he has a rifle east side tag, that’s all he’ll be eligible for, you as a group leader could apply for what ever weapon or side as you want, but your friends without a multi tag won’t be eligible.

Best part is you guys can apply for your typical hunt as a group, but if you don’t draw, you’ll be able to hunt big bull on the west while they hunt spikes.

That would defeat having drawings if one person wins but a group could join all seasons permit applications afterwards. Pretty sure your buddy can join you for the permit apps for his tag but not for the ones that he is not entitled to for the other weapons or side.

If you want your friend to apply as a group with you in quality elk then you can only apply for hunts that he is eligible for. Just like if you didn't have the multi season tag, he couldn't partner with you on the quality elk application if you were applying for modern firearm hunts and he has an archery tag.

In the future you should apply for Multiseason as a group also.   ( I am pretty sure you can do this )   Then when drawn you could apply together for whatever you wanted.
In God we trust, all others bring cash.

Do not say, Why were the old days better than these? For it is not wise to ask such questions.

Yup and when you apply next year for Multiseason as a group you get the advantage of his points assuming your buddy has applied in previous years.

Thanks guys wasn’t sure if the system would even let us apply together, but sounds like we can for at least one of the selections.  Yeah next year we’ll apply as a group for multi elk.

You won't be able to do a group application if all members of the party aren't eligible for both hunt choices listed.

Ok, was hoping we could do one selection together and the other solo.
