All hand made, body was cut off a 2’ bar of 2”x4” A36 mild steel, the eye was cut with a slitting chisel and drifted with a small axe drift I forged here in my shop, the cutting bit was forged from a bar of 2”x.270 1084.   For me this thing represents a whole lot of hammer blows, trial and error and lessons learned. Made the handle from a locally sawn hickory board.

I think with that much sweat equity, I would have to never use it..........   or use it every day.

If I was manly enough to do something as *censored* as make my own axe I would carry it on my hip like a pistol. I would chop any wood that I encountered, I would cut my food with it, etc etc. So freaking cool!

my wife caught me shaving a few whiskers with it yesterday, it’s pretty sharp. Shaves arm hair.
