My experience is also that the birds pay no attention to pop up blinds. They are so effective I almost consider them cheating-just a personal thing, no judgement of others using them. Birds are most aware of any movement, that's ANY movement. I've actually sat perfectly still in the middle of a field and had them come close enough to shoot. Occasionally one of those old hens that seems to have a 6th sense will stick her head up and start plucking a warning, but they'll do that even when I know they can't see me.
