Cleaning Remington UML

Not much on this topic..
Those who own them how much do you clean?

Do you take apart the bolt and breech plug each time or what?

So far I have cleaned the outside, barrel and the action.

Don’t have mine yet. Should by the end of the week. Throw a patch on your rod and send it down the barrel. Then a wet patch followed by dry patches Until clean  :twocents:

Yep done that.

I’ve had rust problems on other muzzys so want to be careful.
Interested if people break down the bolt and clean those internals too

Just throw your patches down and scrub a few times up and down is what I've done, shouldn't need to worry to much about the bolt and what not until after the season, shouldnt be getting dirty at all from any blowback whatsoever.

You aren’t supposed to remove the breach plug on that gun to clean. Part of the niceness of the priming system is it’s hot enough to blow out and not leave a lot of residue. Plus, the chamfered casing doesn’t allow for blowback. Your bolt should stay very clean other than dirt from lugging around in the woods.
