Boa strap releases
« on: June 06, 2020, 06:02:04 AM »
Wondering if anyone has any input on the Boa strap releases.  I'm interested in giving one a try.  My concern is getting a consistent placement of the release.  I shoot buckle closure wrist releases and with that obviously I know what hole to stop at for the correct tension that lets that release sit where I want it to at full draw.

Is there some way to mark the wrist strap to know when you closed tight enough or do you just kind of have to get to a point where you know what it should feel like?  Thanks for any input.

I use a buckle, but think the boa is actually better for consistent tension and placement as there are no holes and leather to stretch in the boa system. As far as marking it I have never tried it, but have never had trouble with consistency.

I have used a boa strap release, i never experienced any problems with getting consistent placement for my release. It was rock solid once you tightened it.

The thing that I didn’t like was the audible clicking noise when you tighten the boa strap. I went back to using the leather strap.

I absolutely love my BOA release. It has made a huge difference with a solid anchor point. I've been shooting dead on ever since I started using it. I highly recommend getting one!

Thank you for the feedback gents.  I got one on order tonight!  Should be slinging some sticks with it next week.
