1 MILE
« on: June 25, 2020, 07:18:48 PM »
I went to Montana last weekend and was able to shoot my Hells Canyon 28 Nosler at a steel plate at a mile. The elevation and temperature were different than the site in info. I did not have enough clicks to aim directly at the steel. With a 3.5-4.5 MPH wind right to left it took me 4 shots to hit the steel. That was a poke. I am shooting a 195 Gr berger bullet.

I have a mile off my deck.. I shot my 6.5 creedmoor the other day. I was about 100 feet low and 30 feet to the left. A little work is needed!  lol

Maybe a new caliber? Rainbows are find for some but not long range shooters.
If I need a permit and education to buy a firearm than women should need a permit and education  before getting an abortion.

i have a hard time with seeing impacts at that range. .. have been considering the LR camera setup for my old eyes. i do run the flash indication for impacts but still difficult to see exact point on target at that range and beyond (for me) for adjustments

Congrats! 28N is a great caliber! what were your holds?

I don’t know if it works at a mile? But at 1000 yards phone scope adapter with spotting scope works well.

worst part about the target cameras is you need to go set up at the target first.   I like to practice like I would shoot in the field.   Set up on a spot.  Find a rock, range dial squeeze.  Then find a farther rock and repeat.   Jmo
