Cougars stay around?

I’ve got a couple pictures of a cougar on my camera and have seen another in the area I hunt there in there now do they typically stay around say tell September

They cover a lot of ground, but theyll be back.  Theyre there because there is prey.  As long as that doesnt change there will be lions in the area periodically.
