I have never tried this fishery but we will be camping there in august, and I’d sure like to give it a shot . When will they announce the season ?

Once they know how many go over Tumwater dam. I think late July usually. I’ll be there the first week or so of August and hope it opens.

I’ve never fished it either. With baker lake sockeye in the air, what are the normal crowds like on Wenatchee?

During Rona, their typical announcement is a day or two before and a weekday opener.  The goal is to get as few people as possible out while still actually opening something up.  Better to stay inside and go shopping.   :dunno:
