Fire in the Blues
« on: August 22, 2020, 10:09:29 PM »
In the wilderness and seems to be maybe be staying small.

:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Was out scouting elk and hunting bear 🐻 bet the weekend. Saw it grow overnight as we camped where we could see the fire. Tough country to fight fires. We had the kids out watching the helicopters working to slow the spread. I’ll get a couple pics up this morning.
fear no fish!!

Appears to be laying on his right side  :chuckle:

Hope they get it under control...
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

What day did you take the picture?

This is in 166, tucannon for anyone not familiar with the area down there.

Looks pretty small, let's hope it stays that way .  Things can change on a dime in that tinder box called the blues though, scary.
