People still wear those things?  I thought they died a humane death in the midwest a decade ago.

That was just a vicious rumor started by someone that got laughed at by the gas station attendant for wearing 2wd blue crocs. They're actually thriving and migrating into new environments. Some are evolving for cold weather habitats.

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

all very funny posts to a very serious situation that points out how good clean fun can turn into an ordeal. Huge props to Jason's toughness to pack up his camp and get out on his own. 6 miles with a foot wound that required 8 stitches.

I have the fur lined crocs. Just putting that out there. They’re life changing.

Moral of the story is to always bring your crocs when hunting.

That’s not the moral of the story, nobody was wearing Crocs while hunting, not even me.

I got a new pair of kenetrek, tried them on in the store, then went to Idaho chasing elk.

No break in, just grease and go.

Got lucky, not one blister.

(I did have a roll of mole tape with me)

Can't find my crocs, they were the green ones with lockers...

So wore the kenetreks with laces undone and tucked in so I didn't drag em.

(safer around tent stakes anyways)
