So, I got screwed over this year and into next year for elk hunting. Booked a guided hunt for archery and my guides couldn't find any elk on their private land due to heat, drought, smoke ... whatever. But, so i didn't get totally screwed over ... they deferred my hunt until next year and I'll be going rifle instead for 2021. I wanted to go west side archery for 2021, but whatever.
So anyways, wasted 2 weeks of vacation and I dont have any elk spots on the east side as I'm still relatively new to WA. I've looked at the WDFW prospects and the east side doesn't look all that great. I've also been perusing GoHunt Insider a little bit as well and need to do some more research. So what can you guys tell me about hunting east side late archery elk general units? I could care less if I shoot a cow, spike, bull, or even a bull that identifies as a cow

I'd just not like to waste this season, maybe learn some new country, and hopefully get on some elk. Shooting one would just be a bonus.
