Why not make your own? Catch a beaver in a blind set and the castor will make a lot of lure. Lots of recipes out there but all you really need is to chop the castor up and add a little of the sac oil. I usually add some mineral oil for the right consistency to use but not necessary.
I rarely use it anymore. Probably used 4 ounces in the last 40 years. Mostly use blind sets.

I use it very sparingly also.  It does seem to deter animals at times.  I have 2 separate bottles i carry with me.  One has castor from large animals, say 45lb's +, and the other has castor from animals below 30lb's.  I am more apt to use the castor from the "smalls" thinking it will agitate a bigger animal and not intimidate a smaller one.

I use a 4oz wide mouth nalogen bottle for the lure. It keeps the scent very well contained.

May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

I'll just go with the blind sets and see how it goes, the offer is still there for the free beaver if anyone can use them

"Why not make your own?" Bruce, its largely a one shot deal, just doing some of my own damage control, I dont fur trap anymore
