I am going to be designing a trigger guard/floor plate for a different Remington bolt rifle. My plan is to build it using the basic specs of the 700 with detachable magazine and fit it to the other rifle and use the available magazines.
I know very little about the 700's and the differences in magazines. I need to buy one to make the model. The Rifle came in these calibers; .222 Remington, .223 Remington, 6mm Remington, 6.5mm Remington, .308 Win, .35 Remington, .350 Remington Magnum. I primarily will need the 243 and 308. What I would like to know is, is there a difference in the magazines for these rounds? Are the mags interchangeable between calibers?
I came across this from Cabelas,
Kwik Klip. The price is good but I don't know if it is universal for other factory or aftermarket detachable magazines. Or if the quality is good enough to even bother with it. Some reproductions just plain stink.
Or if anyone has a floor plate and detachable magazine they do not need that I could purchase. All it needs to be is in good condition and work. The finish does not matter. If possible I would like to be directed to a decent quality, but decent cost, aftermarket kit.
Thanks
