Just read Ford will have a Raptor Bronco edition coming sometime around the summer 2022.

Jackelope is our resident Ford dude so what say you on this newest Bronco version?  It sounds pretty cool but probably will be very pricey too.

I was surprised it was expected to be only 350 HP  :dunno:

That is hardly more then the Midsized pickups of today.

Saw a bronco sport heading up into the woods yesterday… it is still sad Ford went that route… it’s a “beefed” up escape… exempt my 2008 escape is cheap enough to beat the crap out of it.

If you look at it as a small SUV and not the Bronco that you were expecting that it wasn't intended to be, it's a fine small SUV. The actual bigger Bronco that came out a short time later is what we were all expecting.

Also we can't keep them in stock. They fly out the door as soon as they land.
(The sport I mean)

I know nothing about it.
I know there's drama with the hard tops and there's drama with some of the colors being cancelled.  Other drama with how long it will take to get them to people who have ordered them...talking 2023 before some of the orders are filled.

Saw that early this morning that's where I first learned of it but was hoping jackelope would have more info on the subject.

Yeah more like the Ford Brawndo, it's got what hipsters crave!  :chuckle:

I have several Ford's. This thing ain't a bronco. I looks like a poorly cloned Range Rover if you ask me.

People are already selling them on Craigslist. I just can't figure that one out. Maybe it was an investment and they are hoping to make aa profit flipping it due to supply and demand.

Realistically, with modern technology and suspension improvements, it probably well out performs the original Bronco with ease. I still love the originals though.
The 390 only had 250 HP. Car And Driver is now saying The Raptor Bronco will be 450HP on the Ecoboost Twin Turbo V6. Not the 350 HP in the earlier article I posted. 37" tires and Fox adaptive dampeners.

I would love to go play with it, LOL

Have you seen the big one?
This thread sort of devolved into a "slam the bronco sport because it's not what we were expecting" thread. The actual new Bronco will outperform the og bronco in literally every aspect except maybe interior room and how fast it consumes gasoline contest.

Yeah I like the new Raptor edition. Bigger tires alone actually give it a more outdoor friendly look. I just don't like how small it is. I have a Super duty pickup, an Excursion, an Expedition and an Exploder that's almost fully cooked. Lol I just feel like Ford tried too hard to mimic a Range Rover for sales. I am just bitter that I probably can't fit in one. I'm 6' 4" and 300#. I have to have the third row seat for my kids as well. Lol I'll probably own one in another ten yrs!

That "Sport" model should have been called something else because everyone, myself included, keeps focusing in on bashing that particular model.  The 2 & 4 door Bronco, though I'm still not quite in full love affair mode, I can at least not lose my lunch when I look at them and I've seen pics of some pretty bada$$ custom ones.  What I've seen of this Raptor Bronco it appears to be pretty cool looking but I'm afraid it'll pack a serious price tag too.

Everyone sees things different through their eyes but ever time I look at one of these new 2dr Broncos they make me think 80 Series International Scout not Gen1 Bronco.

Did you see the pic I posted of the bronco next to my expedition?

That’s the outer banks one with the smaller tires on it too.

I’m 6’4” and 240 and I fit in the front just fine. I haven’t tried the back seat, but pretty much everything is tight in the back for me.
