Floating Muskrat Colony Trap
« on: December 19, 2020, 12:13:00 PM »
Messing around with making a floating muskrat colony trap that can be very discrete in public areas.

Youtube of the trap and some on the water shots.

Its out soaking right now.  I will update when I can get back out there.  Im going to make another one and see if I can figure out the balance of the flotation so it sit better in the water.

I like your design
I'm not positive, but I thought I heard or read that the rats are caught in the trap dont cause a bunch of weight. They are buoyant.
 Can't wait for the update.

That would be great.  I have it tied to a tree in case its sinks but hopefully that wont happen.  Unless its soo full that it does then that wont be bad.   :tung: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

apples and carrots.  That seems to be the most common suggestion.
