Upon further inspection I do believe this Beaver was run over by a car I caught him within 200 yards of a major road and after skinning he had a broken front shoulder open wounds on his back in multiple places and the bent tail also looks like open wounds on the top of his hindquarters here's a picture of the hide so far and I'm really thinking this hide is not worth saving I think there's too much damage that I'll be able to do anything with it

All beaver pelts have value. Its just that in this market most beaver will go as hatters. Hatters are technically bought per pound. Last year hatters went roughly $9 per pound. Im guessing this year hatter will be $6 per pound. Most holes, rubs, slights don't effect the price on a hatter.
Your beaver isnt worth much, but it's worth something.

Those look like bites. Not unusual for beaver. Like Loup Loup said don't throw it away. It has a little value.

No, wont change anything. If anything you could close holes with a couple nails. But again, with a hatter, holes dont matter. They are buying the skin for the fur to make felt out of. The leather will not be used.

Couple cat/skunksets I got out late last night. Trying a trick from the wild north on youtube and instead of wiring my bait directly to the back door of the cage I wired it onto a small stick. I cross it through the cage wire and shove one end in the ground, keeping the bait suspended in air about 10" past the trigger. I also used a small chunk of fur that I dobbed some castor onto. Nice to grab a cage and a bait stick and a small hatchet and be able to do a hole set
