Weimaraner
« on: April 20, 2009, 10:34:41 PM »
I'm a dog lover and enjoyed looking at everyone's pups!  Thanks.

Here is mine:

This is Shelby.  Named after Eleanor, because of the color, from Gone in 60 Seconds.

The 2nd amendment was never intended to allow private citizens to 'keep and bear arms.' If it had, there would have been specific wording such as "...the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Good looking dog.

Not a hunting dog... unless you count her always hunting for a handout.  ;)   Family pet.

She has to much separation anxiety, a common trait in weim's.  She doesn't care about anything but people, and food.  Could car less about birds or small fury animals.

You can get good dogs from a rescue.  The one I got had been with 2 families.  The original family gave him to some friends because they were moving for a new job.  The friends kept him tied up to a tree.  The Pet rescue knew them and agreed to take him, and that is how I got him.  He likes to be in the field and seem to running on instinct. He has no problems /dog issues mental or physical.

Here is my boy Lomax, (for "The War Wagon")

God Bless,

Looking at these pics makes me want another. A lil over 1 month ago I had to have my Weim put down. We got him for free and we figured with all the health problems we faught through with him he hadn't been taken care of very well. He was 5 when we got him and about 9 when we had to have him put down. he was 90 lbs and very strong but a big gentle giant/ my little girl could climb all over him and he wouldn't care. Zeak was such a perfect dog. a would give anything to have one like him again. When my little girl gets older we will get another Weim for her but will start with a puppy this time.

We gave Zeak the best life possible and he knew it. It wasn't easy holding him while they gave him the shot but it was best.

Please post more pics of Weims as I don't have many of mine.
