Diamond Lake Boat Ramp
« on: April 25, 2009, 08:38:06 PM »
I was in my boat on Diamond lake by Newport today and was kind of shocked by the total disregard that people have for someone trying to launch or recover boats. There where people letting there kids sit on chairs on the boat ramp as well as adults sitting there. Once you got your boat down to the water weaving around people that wouldn't move then you had to literally push fishing lines out of the way to get your boat to a sandy spot so it wasn't bashing against the concrete ramp.  All the people would do was mumble into their Bud Lights and glare at you.  Once we started out we seen hundreds of smaller trout dead laying in two to three feet of water.  The guys on shore where using power bait on hooks, letting the fish swallow it then ripping it out of their guts with pliers and tossing the smaller ones back.  Thank god opening day only comes once a year. >:( >:( :bash:
I've slowed down enough in my old age to finally let the game catch up to me

And that is why you need a 200HP trimmed up all the way and then you just stand on it and prop wash the entire boat launch!!! I hate the idiots that fish right there on them

Thats one of the reasons that I don't fish the opener. I don't like people that much to put up with the idiots for 5 trout

I just about got sick when I saw close to a hundred fish dead not 20 feet out in front of all the bait fisherman at the diamond lake boat launch. Da Stump was right, they where ripping their guts out and throwing them back unless they were one of the big brood stock rainbows. Just absolutely pisses me off.  >:( :bash: On top of that they kept running fish up to their cars and coming back down to continue fishing.  :nono:
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

 :yeah:
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
