Annual migration has begun!
« on: April 22, 2009, 11:04:27 AM »
Well being that I live in Ephrata and all the west side traffic has to come through town to get to the Sun lakes chain, I have again witnessed the annual migration of "coasties" :chuckle: heading over for the opener. I swear the population of grant county triples this weekend.  :o Good luck...and don't be that guy holding everyone up at the launch PLEASE!

 :yeah:

Being a proficient west side launcher I hate waitin on the easy going, dont know what a packed efficient boat launch is, east side guy.

Remember East siders, Take your straps off at home and dont forget your pole! Lol :chuckle:
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me to.

There were motorhomes and "police tape" already taking their spots along the banks last weekend.  I was thinking, is this fishing season early......

I'm still trying to decide if I want to go out opening day or not. Some years it has been fun other years a nightmare. I was hoping wet weather might keep some folks home in bed.

We'll see

I'll be up at Park Lake doing a little drinking, fishing, drinking, golfing, drinking, fishing, drinking the weekend of 15-17 May. Last year we were headed back to the cabin from a little night fishing and saw 3 does munching grass next to our cabin.
God Bless,
Scott

There is some good scenery at Park Lake during the heat of the summer. ;)

I lucked out.  The unit I am in decided to have a training meeting in Moses Lake last week.  I was able to hit Lenore twice.  Thursday night was pretty hot for about 45 minutes.  Went back Friday for 3 hours and only caught one fish.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Lots of coasties today on blue today. There is always a few people that speed trool with their ski boats that sit so low in the water and put off a 3' wake. Kinda hard on a 12' aluminum boat. These guys kept zipping by us, and I'd nose in to the wake and ride'em out. Dont understand people have no consideration.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!
