"It’s a 24 percent increase since 2019, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife says. The numbers are what’s called a minimum count, meaning the true number of wolves is likely higher."

Yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and say this is a lazy mans guess as to what the numbers blew up to. Even if it was only at 24%, that’s a huge increase

If it was 25% you should be ecstatic.

I would bet the number is well over 30%. The counts are done under fear of retribution by the Inslee administration. The WDFW wouldn't want to show better "recovery" numbers or people might think it's time to manage the wolves. Science by politics. It always has the best results.

Wdfw’s method of counting animals:
“We saw 5 elk and 10 deer in that drainage but there’s probably double that many that we didn’t see. Write down 10 elk and 20 deer. We didn’t see any wolves or cougars. Write down 0 wolves and 0 cougars”

got it right on the head there. i wish politics would get out of wdfw. but that will never happen. the fish and wild life should be the #1 concern of the wdfw. not what over lord inslee thinks.

Mech testified wolves double in population each year, most people don't respond to anything WDFW spouts about wolves anymore as they have been proven over and over to be liars. Remember the year WDFW said the wolf population grew by one wolf...

 They were doing that back in the early 70's with their deer counts, only it was 10 deer seen, there had to be a 100 then!  Same thing with the fish counts, until the Salmon got threaten with getting listed!  Counts then went the other way, counted 100 returning, but only recorded 10 got put down on paper!  Gotta go with the agenda from DC!

The government has become the most dis-trusted in history!!
