Congrats!! Would love to hear more about your hunt. Were you north of Spokane and were the birds vocal after they came off of the roost?

Foothills of Mt. Spokane, they were pretty quiet today, we were above the roost trees and thought they'd come up to us, instead they worked up and to the left of us... so, we sneaked up the hill and spotted them.  The end.

Not an amazing hunt, but it seems like most of the birds... ok, all of the birds I've killed so far, have been spot and stalk.

My brother has some private ground to hunt in the foothills but I was unable to check it out when I was back there. The bird we took the other day came in pretty quiet. We just happened to have an idea of their morning route and guessed right. How big was the bird?

cool congrats. I like the way you hunt. Some folks say spot and stalk is unethical but they are the same folks that eat tags. :chuckle: I try the calling thing every time I go out and was only called in one like that. The rest have been like yours.

Nice bird!
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
