There’s an ebike boom coming

No state sales tax and a 30% federal tax credit.  If these both pass, I’ll be buying at least one more ebike.  How about you?

What's the advantage over a motorbike that runs on gasoline?

You don’t have to license or register it, no insurance required, quieter, less maintenance, tax credit, no sales tax, they’re a lot of fun, …

A better comparison would be a 50cc moped, vs motorcycle

Why an ebike over something like this?

I am assuming the sponsors of these bills received a contribution or two from ebike companies.  Just a hunch :)

If those pass ill buy one. Silent bikes are way better hunting the west side and dont announce you location so eletric is win win.

Sure, just put that 5 gallons of gas in the generator.

I'd like this one, but I doubt if I could sell it as a class 2 ebike.

Aren't they allowed in some non-motorized areas as well?  If they are under a certain wattage?

I could be mistaken.
