My 2009 Bird with Sherman Creek Outfitter
« on: April 26, 2009, 01:58:33 PM »
Just another day with Joe from Sherman Creek Outfitter.  I hunted Monday and Tuesday.  Monday was really windy so not much was happening we did hear a few birds but they were hen’d up all morning.  We did see a bunch of birds on their way to roost.  Tuesday was a complete different story, we started earlier than Mon and were into birds as soon as we got out of the truck, the only problem was we got out of the truck in Idaho and needed to cross a mountain back into WA.  Well anyway we hiked and hiked and hiked.  All day into birds must have heard between 15 to 20 different Gobblers.  We seen them strutting, fighting, screaming, running all day long.  Joe called in a group of 5 Tom's I killed the biggest out of the group.  Got into more birds later that day but could not connect on a second bird.  Four years of Turkey hunting with Joe from Sherman Creek Outfitter Tuesday was the best ever.  Four years 6 Tom's!  Thanks to Joe and Jodi from Sherman Creek Outfitter.    :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:
