Awesome write up, especially what was going through your head, that is hard to convey at times.  Bull of a lifetime for sure and in our state that is supposedly not known for great elk hunting!  Yeah, it would have been easier to whack one closer, but you stuck with your plan and especially liked that you were not stuck on one particular bull and shot the one that felt right at the time.

Thanks for all the compliments.

That totally took the sting out of the 2017 hunt and eating the tag. The monkey is off my back. I am 100% content and don’t ever need to do that hunt again.

I would like to do it again though. ;)
