Found a bunch of little ones about a week ago. Mostly small but definitely coming up.

There's some out there. Got a bunch a little over two weeks ago east of the Cascade crest, and now I'm starting to see them pop up on the wet side of the Cascades (though I only found two last Friday). It's still quite dry out there, so what you're gonna find now are probably rainbow chanterelles (cantharellus roseocanus). They're likely to be a little more meaty, and their tops will not quite be as bright yellow as the ones that will come up later in the season (cantharellus formosus).

Quick question. These have popped up in profusion my chanterelle spot. Would they be lobster? Real meaty with a heavy stalk.

Looks like a chanterelle to me, but I'm no expert.

Lobster 100% It's denser and heavier than most mushrooms huh? I've found really big ones that I could have used as a paperweight!

It's a lobster.  When they rot they will become very light and mushy.  I like to break the rotten ones up and spread them around.  I think doing this has made my lobster spot grow.

Lotsa mushrooms out.

Beautiful bounty ya got there! What are you typically looking for in the surrounding areas to get a haul like this? I found some good fungi coverage this weekend but nothing edible from what I could tell.
