Why are the 128 left over multi season elk tags given away in sequential order to the people who got drawn next in line, but the 2800 left over deer tags can be bought online or at an authorized WDFW dealer?? Don’t get it, why wouldn’t it be the same either way for both species?

Prior to Covid, deer multi tags were available days, if not weeks after they were released.

For elk, there would be line ups of a lot of people, well before the release time, hoping to get the tag.  They would sell out in minutes/hours depending on the store and system that day.

But i'm sure there is some type of manual work to go down in sequential order of the draw, send emails, post to their account, etc and that is manageable for 128. 

But to do that for 2800, is out of the question!

Im on the fence though.  I drew an Archery antlerless elk tag as well... don't know if I'll end up purchasing it. Someone steer me in the right direction

Its an East side cow tag... We know the area very well and have been consistently successful for the past 20 years... The reason why its a tough call

If it was me , I'd keep the cow tag .
