Funny thing is, as I was then stalking him, another 4 showed up and then another and then I spotted another.  I was trying to decide whether to feature each one or give samples of all 4 in one thread.  I was having an unbelievable 30 minutes.  I started with the whitetails then nothing for the longest time, then all of a sudden 4 decent 4 points in the matter of minutes.  I was stlaking one, when I heard something behind me, turned to see one within 20 feet of me.  I got a blurry picture of him barely filling the viewfinder.  This guy here will be features as BBS V I guess.

Twin pisscutters. Sorry for the blur, it was at 1000 yards through the spotting scope.

Nice photos. I wish I had my camera with me on Sunday as I was attacked  :chuckle: by one of these piscutters down in the Snocrummie Valley. Too bad it wasn't a legal area and time for taking deer. The story of my year.

here's another one:
Pisscutter
A Marine's garrison cover. The word was used extensively in the middle 20th Century, presently out of vogue due to a serious lack of political correctness. The etymology of the word is not known. One possible explanation comes from Kate Gladstone who says, "I have heard 'pisscutter' used by (elderly male) non-Marines to describe anything which has a sharp, spiffy-looking fold or edge or crease - e.g., a particularly well-made hat-brim, or an admirably crisp crease in a pair of pants." In the novel Shogun by James Clavell the word is used to refer to a harbor that was particularly difficult to navigate.
